Coronavirus information and update.
After a lot of careful consideration, we have decided to re-open the clinic for a limited number of appointments from Thursday the 21st of June. Although Osteopaths and other health care professionals never had stop treating, we felt it was in the best interests of everyone to close while the pandemic was at its worst. However, we now feel the time is right to start seeing patients again and we have put in place a set of procedures and guidance so we can see patients while staying safe and making sure everyone is protected.
Your safety is our priority and we have done everything possible to ensure the clinic will be as safe as it can be to minimise any chance of transmission. This includes the following new procedures:
Practitioner to wear appropriate protective equipment - Mask, gloves, apron.
Any surface exposed to patient contact (chairs, door handles, surfaces, equipment, textiles..etc) to be disinfected after each patient use.
All non-wipeable furniture to be removed from clinic room – chairs replaced with wipeable chairs.
Only 1 clinician in the centre at any one time.
Patients asked to wait in their car so reception can stay closed.
Clinicians to escort patients directly to and from the front door and organise follow-up sessions so the waiting area is not used.
Patient to be escorted directly into clinic room, and asked to wash hands and offered surgical mask.
Patients to be escorted from the treatment room to the front door at the end of the session and let out. Front door to be kept locked at all times.
Reception area not used except for transit of patients.
No-one to access to the treatment area except for clinicians and patients (i.e. from upstairs area of the building).
Used linen, clothing etc to be bagged and taken home for laundering at minimum 60c.
Rooms to be airated for 20mins between patients.
Please use the Osteopathy clinic number - 01293 369442 - as the other clinic number is not manned at the moment.
I hope you have been keeping well and I look forward to seeing you under more normal circumstances soon. The above measures are designed as a temporary solution and hopefully, we can get back to a more familiar life soon!
